As a 2004 graduate of Lacassine High School, I am excited to return as a middle school English/Language Arts teacher to a new generation of Cardinals. Please visit this website to view weekly agendas and access class materials.
Education & Experience
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education in the areas of English and social studies from Northwestern State University of Louisiana in 2008. In 2011, I completed the library science program at the University of New Orleans, enabling me to work as a teacher-librarian as well.
This is my 9th year in education. I taught English in Jefferson Parish schools for three years and served as the librarian at St. Clement of Rome School in Metairie, LA for two years before returning to Southwest Louisiana. For the past three years, I have taught 6th and 7th grade ELA at J.I. Watson Middle and Iowa High School, Middle School Campus.
About Me
My husband Adam and I have two adorable, energetic little boys -- Everett, who is five, and Eli, who is three. We recently added a terrier-mix puppy named Finnick to our family.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading and arts and crafts. I also love to travel when possible.
