The L.H.S. Senior Beta Club is an organization for high school students who have maintained a grade point average of at least 3.3 with no D's or F's on semester averages for two consecutive semesters. Invitations for Senior Beta are given at the beginning of each school year. Dues for returning members are $20 and dues for new members are $20 These dues are used to fund trips to conventions, pay National Beta Club dues, and purchase Beta stoles for graduating seniors. Students who have been active members in the Senior Beta Club for five or more semesters earn the privilege to wear a Beta stole for graduation. We will be hosting the District Beta Convention this year on November 6, 2008 at Vinton High School. In order to attend the State Convention on January 22nd and 23rd 2009 in Baton Rouge you have to hold an office in the club or place at the District Convention in the activities that will be offered.
Members of the Senior Beta Club strive for academic excellence. They work diligently to set a positive example for their peers. All you need to be a part of this wonderful organization is a 3.3 grade point average and the will to succeed!
